A big "God bless you!" to our Smashing Volunteers: Theresa Blanco, Saceia Armstrong, Mark McDaniel, William Petersen, Cindy Matta, Kyle Simmons, Holly Schierlinger and Jesse Fernandez
We provided support to Alpha Prison Ministries as they facilitated a Holy Spirit Service for the inmates. Alpha provides solid bible based teaching and mentoring to prison inmates globally.
We started with anointed worship provided by the inmate worship team along with Chaplain Marleah Baird on vocals with inmates. Marleah's husband Kenneth is also a chaplain at the unit. We joined the men for the lessons on the Person of the Holy Spirit and His purpose in the life of the believer. We served the men lunch, ate with them and got to know them as we fellowshiped. We were able to minister to them on a very personal level. After lunch, we continued the lesson. Then we worshipped the Lord again in song and opened the floor for the men to come foward for prayer to receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Several received and were baptized! Many lives were transformed. Not only the lives of the inmates were touched, but the lives of the volunteers were impacted as well! We give God all the glory, honor and praise!
