Prison Ministry - Inmate led revival Wallace Pack Prison Unit

I had a vision of revival fires
from the Throne of God
being deposited in hearts today.
God is raising up REVIVALISTS!

The above prophetic word was given by my dear friend regarding the first ever inmate led revival that took place at the unit this weekend, and what a mighty work the Lord did through the inmates and volunteers! It all began with one inmate who approached the prison chaplain about a year ago and shared a vision with her he received from the Lord. The vision was to have the first inmate led revival there at the unit. He shared it with other inmates who were on board and the intercession began. As the vision unfolded, they fasted and prayed for favor with the warden to approve the request. The day the chaplain approached the warden to submit the request he didn't even let her finish explaining the vision for the revival. He signed off on it and said, "Make it big and make it successful!"

Friday was the first day of the revival and we took a team of volunteers and inmates to the infirmary, segregation and every cellblock in the unit to personally invite the inmates to come to the first service later that night. We had 228 inmates in the service that night, which was the most in attendance at a church service ever at that unit. We had 240 inmates in the service Saturday night. Glory to God!

There were many salvations and rededications. We had a Muslim give his life to Jesus last night. He was crying tears of joy because he could feel the Father's love for him as the Spirit filled him. Another young man who practiced a form of paganism also gave his life to Christ. He wept uncontrollably as the Spirit was healing and delivering him. Then his face was shining with the glory of the Lord. Another young man came up for prayer and told me he wanted to make it clear that he did not want prayer for himself. He only wanted me to pray for his father. I said that was fine and asked him his name. He told me again that he did not want prayer just in case that was why I was asking him his name. Well, he ended up giving his life to the Lord too. Hallelujah! Only the Spirit can change a man's heart!

There are many other countless testimonies from the revival this weekend, too many to share in this post. I do want to share one last testimony and that is about how faithful God is to always provide the volunteers and resources needed for these kinds of events. It is how lives are being transformed through the cross of Jesus Christ and the love of God.

Thank you to all the intercessors who covered the meetings this weekend. This is an outpouring of the Spirit of God that has only begun.

Special thanks to:
