Today we joined the ministry of Randy Sparks. We spent time with the men in the faith-based dorm, an eighteen month program to help the men build a solid foundation in the Word of God through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Through mentoring one on one and teaching life applicable lessons based on the Scriptures, we are seeing the men receive forgiveness, emotional and physical healing, as well as, discovering that life is not over, but only just beginning. The men are hearing from God and receiving vision and purpose for their lives in Jesus.
We then headed to chapel for Saturday night church service. Randy's daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Jamaar, led us in worship along with the inmate worship team. Kyle Simmons also blessed the men with a couple of his songs. Randy preached a good word and spoke prophetically over several men.
I want to also thank Theresa Blanco, Shawn Adams along with Kyle Simmons for their faithfulness to volunteer!
Many of the men are experiencing a new beginning. We are believing God will baptize the men in His holy fire and cause them to transform the prison. We are already seeing signs of this happening! We give all the credit to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In Him, we move, live and have our being.
