Visited PTSD Foundation of America Camp Hope yesterday afternoon. An amazing organization helping veterans overcome and heal from the unseen wounds of war. Shawn Adams and I were able to meet the Director of Operations Chuck Lightle and pray with him for the organization and the in the men. What an honor! We also were able to spend some time with Brad Blue who is the Veterans Coordinator at Camp Hope and also a graduate of the program. Brad walked into Shawns Customs Tees, owned by Shawn, a few days ago to order some t-shirts and struck up a conversation with Shawn about the foundation. Shawn mentioned that Smashing Pillars International was interested in ministering to veterans so Brad invited us to come over.
Shawn and I were able to meet several of the resident veterans and we had an opportunity to pray for one young man named James who is graduating from the program today. We prayed for him, we blessed him and spoke destiny into him. All the other veterans in the house had their heads bowed in prayer with us. It was awesome! We will visit again in a couple of weeks and hopefully sit in in one of their discussion groups. I'll keep you posted. Visit their site at www.ptsdUSA.org for more information.
